In 2011, TMS was contracted by the Boy Scouts of America to construct a transportation plan for their National Jamboree which is held every 4 years. The 2013 Jamboree would be the first Jamboree held at its new site, the Summit Bechtel Reserve in Beckley, West Virginia, USA.
For this brand new 40,000 acre facility, TMS was responsible from building an entire transportation plan including load zone design, routing, roadway design, staff schedules, wayfinding and signage plans and FF&E requirements. In addition to this, TMS was responsible for coordinating with WV Department of Transportation officials, Federal, State, and Local Law Enforcement while building the transportation plan from the ground up. TMS provided key staff onsite for 14 months prior to operation.
