TRANSPORT SKILLS
From March to October 2017, Transportation Management Services (TMS) was contracted by Hala Abu Dhabi, a division of Etihad Airways, to assist with the delivery of the 44th WorldSkills international vocational skills competition at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC), Abu Dhabi, U.A.E.

OPERATIONAL OVERVIEW
TMS was brought on to design and implement all transport services for the estimated 8,000 Competitors, Coaches, Technical Delegates, Skills Competition Managers, and many more client groups that all had a variety of schedules, pick up locations, and destinations throughout the events duration. TMS’ expertise with design and management of highly complex event transport systems, coupled with the team’s extensive experience operating in Abu Dhabi, was widely recognized as a deciding factor in the success of the overall event delivery.
DELIVERY SUCCESSES
- Airport arrivals and departures
- Coordination with the Abu Dhabi DoT team who provided Park and Ride services for up to 15,000 young school children per day who visited ADNEC
- Opening and Closing Ceremonies transport operations
- “One School, One Country” from hotels to specific schools throughout the city of Abu Dhabi
- Daily hotel transfers to and from the competition venue for multiple client groups
- X2 desert excursions from hotels to/from the desert for tourism activities
- Crowd Management and Pedestrian Flow advisement
- Training and management of event transport staff and drivers
